Why Love?

James Mitchell was murdered on March 5, 2016 while walking to the store in a friend's neighborhood. He attended Bryant & Stratton College for Criminal Justice and was on his way to a full, prosperous life.

Getting that phone call was one of the most hurtful times in my life. I could not sleep. I could not eat. I could not scream and cry the way I felt down deep inside. Someone killed my son and to this day, I still do not know who or why. What I do know is that I do not want another parent to go through what I went through. I do not want another parent to dread knowing that the murderer is still out on the streets to possibly kill again. I want communities to feel safe.

I know that there is no statute of limitations on murder. No matter if it were done yesterday or 20 years ago, the person(s) responsible need to be brought to justice. No, it will not bring your loved one back, but it may stop them from destroying another person's future or breaking another mother's heart.

Love is Loud was named by My husband and I. I wanted the name to be powerful and magnetic. What is more powerful than "Love"?

This website will give our community a chance to speak out.

On my journey I have also met families who have lost their loved ones to drug overdose. I also want to come along side these families to comfort, educate and bring peace back into their lives.
